Bridgeside Community Member Spotlight: Yolanda Murphy
Meet Yolanda Murphy, Financial Administrator at the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. When she isn’t busy managing financial and human resources functions, you can find her sewing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
As part of our Community Member Spotlight series, we caught up with Yolanda about what she enjoys doing in her free time and some interesting facts about her!
Q: In your role, what are you responsible for?
A: Financial functions of research and department funds for the Data Center include: preparing budgets, projections on budgets, reconciling and keeping account of salary updates and payments disbursed amongst various accounts. HR functions include: creating and posting positions, grants and contracts management, and the Office of International Services (OIS) support.
Q: What's something about you that's not on your resume?
A: I have a garden, I like to sew when I have time, and laughing keeps me young!
Q: What do you enjoy doing in your time off?
A: Traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Q: What's one thing you would tell people about the Bridgeside Point community?
A: It's welcoming with a great scenic view.
