Fat Business: Exploring Lipid Metabolism in Alzheimer's Disease

  • 5th Floor Conference Room, Bridgeside Point 1 100 Technology Drive Pittsburgh, PA, 15219 United States (map)

As part of the Aging Institute's Research Seminar Series,  Xu Chen, PhD who is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosciences at the University of California, San Diego will present "Fat Business:  Exploring Lipid Metabolism in Alzheimer's Disease"

A central part of the Aging Institute's mission is to promote innovative research in aging and a rich environment for training a new generation of investigators in the aging field.  Beyond individualized mentorship, we want to provide support in career development, presentation skills, grant writing and opportunities for collaboration and networking with researchers within and outside the University.

The research seminars will be followed by a gathering to stimulate informal discussions, socialization and networking.  All postdocs are highly encouraged to attend this event to allow informal interaction with faculty and familiarize postdocs with the non-scientific skills required to pursue and succeed in an academic career.
